Appraisals of important riparian corridors throughout Washington state, also under federal appraisal standards; and cruising & inventory of on-site timber projected as legally harvestable.  Includes multi-phased acquisitions over 7-year period of 5000 acres in Hoh River corridor on Olympic Peninsula; multiple acquisitions throughout marine coastal area and in interior of western and central Washington;


  1. Analyses of impact of ESA-listed species on market value - Integral to appraisal of numerous privately and publicly owned properties supporting merchantable-sized timber, occupied by Northern spotted owl, a federally threatened and state endangered species; or marbled murrelet, which is federally and state threatened.  Scope of work in each project typically includes platform surveys and cruise of timber projected as legally harvestable;


  1. Appraisal of two ownerships--public and private--totaling 8640 acres among 30 non-contiguous tracts proposed for exchange in eastern Jefferson County, Washington.  Includes substantial merchantable and pre-merchantable timber; and tracts with varying highest and best uses;


  1. Appraisal review and independent appraisal of a private 47,000 acre forest land ownership within Green River watershed in King County, WA, managed under federally approved Habitat Conservation Plan; included cruise audit of inventory data supplied by prospective seller;


  1. Proposed exchange of perpetual timber rights (PTRs) and merchantable timber - Lead appraiser for private owner of 23,900 acres of PTRs in central Washington and State agency administering 7500 acres of timber in northeastern Washington proposed for exchange; included field audit of third party cruise;


  1. Pipeline expansion across 5 counties in western Washington:  appraise contribution of resource (stumpage) and ornamental vegetation on each of 500+ ownerships with various highest and best uses, in partial acquisitions for utility use.  Included cruise and inventory of impacted trees and timber and forest practices permitting for timber removals;


  1. Appraisal of 54,000+ acres of mostly industrial forest land among 65 parcels in western Washington for pending partitionment, including transitional use property.  Scope of work included cruise of on-site timber under applicable highest and best use scenarios;


  1. Appraisal of 25,000 acre block, including cruise and contribution analysis of merchantable timber thereon, in north-central Washington transferred to Natural Resources Conservation Area (NRCA);


  1. Appraisal of 23,100-acre industrial forest land and timber thereon in three-county area of northwestern Washington;


  1. Lead specialist in evaluating merchantable and pre-merchantable timber as part of valuation of 2,000,000 acres of Trust land administered by Washington State Department of Natural Resources;


  1. Appraisal reviews - Portfolio-sized reviews include a 304-parcel project totaling 111,933 acres among 16 counties in Washington, ranging in size from less than 2 acres to several thousand acres;


  1. Commercial property appraisal reviews - Over 600 separate appraisal reviews of commercial, special purpose and residential properties in urbanized Puget Sound area, concentrating in Snohomish County WA;


  1. Forest practices consulting including permit assistance for small landowner timber harvesting (Class III); land use conversions for residential and commercial development and public works projects (Class IV-General); and projects subject to review under State Environmental Policy Act (Class IV-Special).
